Crowns either cap or completely cover the affected tooth. They are a shell like covering that is placed directly over the natural tooth to amend its size, shape, colour or function. Often considered when there is not much tooth left, a Crown can restore your tooth to its full natural function.
» Restore broken or fractured teeth
» Strengthen Root Canal treated teeth
» Realign crooked teeth
» Close gaps in teeth
» Improve discolouration
» Repair chips
» Improve biting abilities
» Amend damage from excessive grinding

Modern technology means that we are able to make excellent all ceramic crowns (i.e. with NO metal component) with pressed ceramic or a Zirconium core for optimal strength. This is then covered with high quality porcelain for optimal aesthetics.
During Crown preparation, impressions will be taken and a temporary Crown is provided. These impressions are sent to a high quality laboratory where the technician produces your individually designed Crown. Your Crown will then be fitted by Dr. Brignall.
Some examples of onlays are seen below.
